French Macaron by Jonny Chronic is a beautiful, tasty cross of French Cookies and Gelato #33 that produces traditional “Indica” leaning effects. The bracts are flush with anthocyanin giving the bud its dark purple hue but it’s almost tough to see due to the thick wall of trichomes obscuring the view.
Jonny Chronic is the recreational face of JC Green, a licensed producer out of Thorndale, Ontario who has been quietly feeding high quality, hand-trimmed cannabis genetics like French Macaron, Acapulco Gold and Pyramid into the various provincial markets.
The story behind JC Green is one of hope in tragedy. Rob O’Neill, a former professional engineer, is the founder. His first licensed grow facility is the school where he and his siblings grew up. Leesboro Central School has been converted to produce premium cannabis but elements of its history were intentionally kept: like the “Principal’s Office” sign, an old blackboard (that’s actually green), and the school’s team logo now behind plexiglass.
The O’Neill family experienced tragic loss, which you can read about on their website. One thing is clear upon reading their story: cannabis helped them deal with the insane storms of life. Their passion for the plant is evident in their product.
