Nana Punch is a cross of Banana OG and Purple Punch grown by Acreage Pharms’ Peers Cannabis brand in Peers, Alberta. True to its parent strains the buds are dense, crystalline with plump bracts and the odd bit of purple sugar leaf curled up in the cure. The aroma is a soft, subtle berry and vanilla mixed with skunk.
The jar had an “adult” lid underneath the original child-proof packaging which made re-opening the jar aggravation-free. Peers also included a small humidity pack which preserved the appropriate bounce-back we’d expect from a well-cured weed nug being squeezed. Unfortunately, the smoke disappointed. Effects were strong but mostly sedative (not a terrible thing, but very lopsided) and the burn was a bit black, indicating a rushed or absent flush. The taste suffered because of rushed growing practices.
It’s a pity because under the scope this weed struck a series of fine poses. Trichomes begged to crowd in under the lens and in the end there were almost too many photos too chose from (never actually a problem).
